About your Paddle account and sandbox
Introduction
Section titled “Introduction”Paddle has two environments:

To begin testing/evaluating Paddle immediately, all you need is a sandbox account. Once you decide that you’re ready to start selling with Paddle, you should create a vendor account.
How do I sign up for a Paddle sandbox account?

Having completed the signup form, you will have immediate access to the Paddle dashboard.
How do I sign up for a Paddle vendor account?

Here, you must provide information about your business, including the domain to be used for selling, and the type of products you wish to sell.
Having completed the account sign-up form, your unverified Paddle account is created and you have immediate access to your Paddle dashboard for your Live environment.
What is the Paddle dashboard?
Section titled “What is the Paddle dashboard?”The Paddle dashboard is available in both sandbox and Live environments and is your control center for managing your implementation. Here, you can:
- Define global settings (account settings, payout settings, team members, etc.)
- Build and manage your product and subscription catalog
- Build your Paddle checkout
- Manage subscribers
- Access developer tools (API authentication details, webhooks, keys, etc.)
- Access transactions and reports
- Create a sandbox environment for testing
